How the math works
Every deal shows one number: the net discount. Here's how it's built.
Net = base discount + portal cashback (best one) + card offer (capped) + generic card points + fuel points
The parts
- Base discount — face value versus price. $100 for $85 is 15%.
- Portal or app cashback — Rakuten, Fluz and similar. These usually can't be combined, so only the best one counts. Rove multipliers stack on top.
- Card offer — Amex, Chase or Citi offers, converted to a % of what you actually spend and never past the offer's cap. Targeted offers that not everyone gets are left out of the public net.
- Card points — the best widely available multiplier for the merchant category, not a specific card.
- Fuel points — grocery fuel rewards converted to a % of spend. Assumes a 15-gallon fill-up unless a deal says otherwise.
Assumptions
Points are valued at a flat 1¢ each. Your points may be worth more or less. Deals below 8% net are labeled: "Not worth a trip unless you were buying anyway."
Saver and points modes
Saver mode sorts by net discount. Points mode uses the same stack but sorts by points per dollar and names the card category that wins.
Generic card table

| drugstore | 3x (3%) | 3x drugstore (e.g. Chase Freedom family) |
| online retail | 2x (2%) | 2x everywhere |
| gas | 4x (4%) | 4x gas (e.g. Costco Visa) |

Verification
Each deal shows where it was found and when it was last verified. Deals reported by other sites are checked at the retailer before they're listed as live. If a number can't be verified, the deal is marked unverified or left out.
